Machining 1008 Steel

Steel 1008 Machined Parts

Sunhy has a reputation for machining quality parts from 1008 Steel. We can machine intricate parts on our CNC Swiss machines and CNC turning centers.

Steel cold roll alloy 1008 is a standard commercial alloy, ideal for parts that require moderate strength and toughness. It is generally used in low-stress applications. 1008 has a good matte surface finish that makes it suitable for exposed parts.
1008 has a machining cost factor of 3.5 when compared to steel 12L14. It produces excellent welds and can be exceptionally cold formed and brazed.
